Here are five tips to help your air conditioning Argyle unit keep running smoothly and “cool.”

1) The belts and fans of your air conditioning Argyle’s unit can get worn down and tear with frequent use (and if you live in Argyle, you’ll be using your AC unit often during our hot summers). Check them regularly and replace as needed.

2) Change your AC unit’s filters once a month during the year or, at the very least, once every quarter in fall, winter and spring and then each month during the summer. It’s a good idea to stock the proper sized filters in your home so that you don’t need to head out to your local hardware store each time you change them.

3) Clean your unit’s fan blades. Look them over to see if there’s any damage. Lubricate the fan’s bearings and motor regularly. Replace any broken parts as needed.

4) Check and clean your condensate pan monthly. If you find a lot of gunk and grime, clean the pan more often. You can purchase cleaning tablets at the hardware store that are made just for condensate pans.

5) Keep your AC unit’s condenser coil clean of dirt and grime. Check your unit’s exchanger fins to see if any bent and straighten them if needed.

Call our air conditioning Argyle company any time you need maintenance or replacement parts. We’re reliable and our prices are fair. We look forward to being of service!
